SOGEMASA INGENIERIA takes active part in the design and development of the largest passenger aircraft AIRBUS A380, being reponsible for the following work packages.

A380 HTP Leading Edge,
A380 HTP Trailing Edge,
A380 HTP Center Join.
A380 HTP Man-Hole Covers.

Our responsibility has been mainly involved in design and
stress engineering, as well as in testing, Certification and
MRB, and production support.

All those work packages have been delivered by
INTERNACIONAL DE COMPOSITES (Specialized in carbon
fibre reinforced plastic, CFRP), under our supervision..

After having developed the A380 risk sharing work
packages,the expertise of SMI is qualified in several areas:

- Precision metallic joint parts with high load levels.
- Coupling to structural carbon fiber parts CFRP.
- Metal fittings (Aluminium & Titanium).
- High loads forged parts.
- Development of carbon fibre in Structural parts (fittings).
- Sandwich panels, complex shape panels (LEX).
